Unit 1: Finders Keepers

The following is a map of Georgia. Make sure that you know the land marks and regions on the map. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!
In this part of the unit, the students will be learning about the geography of the state including the different regions and physical features. The students will also be paying attention to the impact of the Europeans coming in to settle the Americas on the American Indians.

In this part of the unit, the students will be able to identify the reasons for the Europeans coming to the Americas.

Here, in class the students are talking about the settlement of Georgia. It is important to know that there were three big players (people) during the settlement Oglethorpe, Tomochichi and Mary Musgrove. Make sure you read over the notes. 
The students are now learning about the Trustee Period of Georgia, the first 21 years of the colony. Make sure that you have all of the notes for this section.
The students learned that they was a transition from Trustee to a Royal colony. Below are the notes that the students are going to take at home. This is the start of my flipped classroom so that we can do the boring part at home and have more fun in the classroom.
